COMPANY PROFILE
MFK Košice started a new era of football (soccer) in the city of Košice, Slovak republic in the summer of 2005. Football has been a tradition in Košice for more than 50 years. Many remember the city's participation in a group stage of the Champions League during the 97-98 season. Then, for the last three years the city has not had a football team in the first two divisions of the Slovak league. MFK Košice, a football club newly founded by the company STEEL TRANS and the city of Košice, was to bring back the times of honor and glory for the players and the fans. Although MFK Košice started out in Division II, the team management has daring plans to advance to Division I by next season and to build up a respectable European football team within the next few years.
CHALLENGE
Football club MFK Košice needed an attractive on-line presentation with game statistics, club info, e-shop, and other popular interactive features for fans, press and sponsors. Since the feedback from fans is the key element for every sports club, MFK Košice requested on-line discussions, forums, questionnaires, image galleries, and a clean administration interface. The site would bring fresh news about games, press conferences, and other club events without any extra programming or special IT skills. MFK Košice expects to become a successful team. This growth potential calls for an upgradeable system that does not need to be rebuilt frequently.
